The Indiana Chapter of the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) awarded ten concrete pavement projects during the 2023 Indiana Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards Program at their annual workshop on February 23, 2023, in Indianapolis, IN. Awarded projects exemplify skillful, safe and disciplined delivery of new, reconstructed, or rehabilitated concrete pavement on Indiana highways, local roads, streets, and airports.

Projects are rated in various use categories on overall pavement quality, process execution, innovation, sustainability, safety, and more. Projects recognized at similar state level programs are eligible to compete for silver or gold titles in the American Concrete Pavement Association’s Excellence in Concrete Pavement Awards National Program, which culminates at the ACPA Annual Convention in December 2023. The association recognized 10 award-winning projects, along with the hard work, outstanding quality, and creative approaches to problem solving demonstrated by contractors, agencies, and engineers.

Projects that were recognized:

  • · Reconstruction Taxiway B, St. Joesph Cp. Airport
  • · Reconstruction: I-70, SR 267 to Ronald Regan Parkway
  • · 56th Street CPR
  • · Olive Street Pavement Replacement & Reconstruction
  • · Bass Rd Reconstruction
  • · Intersection Improvements: Adams Ctr. & Tillman RD
  • · US 24 Pavement Replacement
  • Cannelburg Road
