Every June, we observe National Safety Month, an annual initiative led by the National Safety Council (NSC) to help keep each other safe from the workplace to anyplace. Since its inception in 1996, National Safety Month has provided valuable resources and guidance to help organizations and individuals prioritize safety.
At Milestone, safety isn’t just a priority. It’s a core value that ensures every team member gets home safely.
As we observe National Safety Month, we commit to the principles embodied in our “Think Safe, Work Safe” ethos. This safety commitment is built on three key pillars: Proactive mindset, safe practices and continuous improvement.
Proactive Mindset
We believe safety starts before the task. “Think Safe” begins with a proactive approach to safety. It means being vigilant about potential hazards on and around the jobs, planning for the day and making safety the number one priority in every task we do. By fostering a culture of awareness and preparedness, we can prevent accidents before they happen.
Safe Practices
Safety is a choice we make every time we step on site. “Work Safe” is about adhering to established safety protocols, using the appropriate personal protective equipment and ensuring that the actions we take do not endanger ourselves or others. By following these practices, we work to create a safer workplace for everyone.
Continuous Improvement
Our commitment to safety is dynamic and always evolving. We continuously seek ways to enhance our safety measures, learn from past experiences and adapt to new challenges. At Milestone, every experience and every voice helps us in building a safer worksite. This dedication to improvement ensures that we stay ahead of potential risks and maintain the highest safety standards.
When we all take responsibility for safety and commit to “Think Safe, Work Safe,” we create a culture where everyone feels valued and protected.
Nothing we do is worth anyone getting injured. We will prevent injuries when we “Think Safe, Work Safe” every day. That is the commitment we make to one another.
