The Republic Airways Plane Pull annual fundraiser involves an epic tug-of-war with a 24-ton aircraft. Since its start in 2011, this fundraiser has raised $5 million for children’s hospitals and charities. Key charities for the event include Indiana Wish, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent, Riley Children’s Foundation and A Kid Again.
This was a record-breaking year for the plane pull with over 45 teams participating and $750,000 dollars raised. Of those 45 teams, Milestone had two teams pull the plane for the kids: Employees of the Month and Concrete Cowboys.

During the event, teams line up in a row and are timed on how quickly they can pull the plane across the finish line. The top five quickest teams pull again in round two to declare the plan pull champions. Our Concrete Cowboys landed in second place overall with a pulling time of 7.57 seconds. Way to go!
Along with the main plane pulling event, tables and vendors with activities are set up for a morning of fun for all ages. A special thank you to our Milestone employees who brought our equipment and worked our table.
Thank you to our plane pulling teams for coming out and spending a Saturday with us to help partner in Republic Airways efforts, especially CEO of Heritage Construction and Materials Geoff Dillion who joined us on the Employees of the Month team. When teamed together, the sky is the limit in helping those in our community. This was our third year participating and we look forward to breaking more records with our community partners.
Mark your calendars for Republic Airways 13th Annual Plane Pull on April 26, 2025 and join us in the fun!
