National Intern Day is celebrated the last Thursday of July each year. Today is dedicated to recognizing, acknowledging the efforts of, and celebrating the future leaders of world and hopefully Milestone!
Summer is one our favorite times of year, because that is when the interns join our teams. Not only are we teaching the interns new skills, but they can also teach us. Interns bring an abundance of knowledge with them and make the culture of our workplace diverse. We when get focused on running our business, the interns show up to freshen up perspectives and help us stay up to date with the latest trends in the industry. They have a passion for learning and come in with a can-do attitude that boost up a team’s spirits!
Our Milestone interns come into our business in the busiest season we: have construction season. They take on important task that help reduce workload for our full-time employees. Interns come in and contribute to building roads, concrete sidewalks, bridges and more. They play a part in infrastructure that will last decades. They make an impact in our communities.
HC+M Intern Testimonials
Naarah Holloway- Marketing Intern

“My favorite thing about my internship at an HC+M company, would have to be the team I’m working with. They always come in with positive attitudes and make the work environment feel like a home away from home. I would recommend this internship to any student, not only because of the skills I’ve gained but because of the company’s environment.”
Justin Amburgy- HR Intern

“This internship has exceeded my expectations as I have the autonomy to do several projects at the same time. Being able to interact and work with several teams and departments across the organization has been an enriching experience.
As an HR intern, I have learned the importance of asking questions and trusting my own knowledge. I’ve also become more knowledgeable in several federal employment laws/regulations and how/why an organization must keep certain information regarding its employees. Being able to experiment with improving employee engagement has also been a skill that has been rewarding to experience.
I would recommend this internship to anyone that is enthusiastic about continuous learning and improvement. Continuous improvement is a large part of THG companies including Milestone.”
Austin Deeter- Engineering Intern

“My favorite thing about my internship at an HC+M company is the friendly and knowledgeable people that I get to work with every day. The most important skill that I’ve gained is communication skills and I’ve conquered the fear that I had of interacting with new people in a professional setting. I would recommend this internship to other students because it is a great learning opportunity and an internship with the Heritage Group provides the tools you need to further develop yourself professionally!”
Thank you to all our interns for your commitment, passion, and dedication this summer! You help Make Lives Better One Road and Bridge at a Time.
