We’re proud to share that Randy Wilkinson (Bridge Operations Manager) and Chris Potts (Asphalt Operations Manager) are representing Milestone Contractors in the Indiana Constructors Leadership Institute (ICLI) this year. As a part of the program, they’ve attended courses covering topics like labor relations, safety, legislation and conflict resolution. Their participation reflects Milestone’s ongoing commitment to developing leadership talent and supporting the advancement of our industry.

The ICLI program is spearheaded by Indiana Constructors, Inc. (ICI) to prepare the next generation of heavy, highway and utility construction industry leaders. Nominees have demonstrated the potential to become the next generation of executive leadership within the organization and are supported by their senior management teams. Participants develop technical and soft skills, including “association advocacy and legislative impacts, communications and negotiation skills, INDOT relations, construction finance, safety and more.” When Milestone employees have participated in the past, it’s been an invaluable experience.

“The opportunity to network and build relationships with others in the industry is very important,” Randy said. He and Chris have made lasting connections through the program, which has given them the opportunity to network not only with industry peers, but also with legislators, INDOT leadership and ICI leadership.

Randy and Chris have already gained valuable insights through the program. They agreed that the sessions covering legislation and labor relations were among the most impactful. “I found the legislative session and the ICI board meeting I was able to attend to be the most interesting,” Chris shared. “It was good to see how the association works in our collective interests.”

We’re excited about the wealth of knowledge both Chris and Randy are gaining. Their involvement strengthens our internal leadership pipeline, reinforces our partnership with ICI and renews our shared commitment to shaping the future of Indiana’s infrastructure.
