This month, industry professionals gathered at The Heritage Group’s headquarters, The Center, for the 2025 American Concrete Paving Association (ACPA) Indiana Concrete Pavement Workshop & Awards. The day was dedicated to celebrating the achievements of the previous year and exploring the latest advancements in concrete pavement technology.

The event began with warm welcomes and an introduction by IN ACPA Director of Pavements & Materials, John Leckie. The sessions kicked off with an update from INDOT, delivered by their newly appointed commissioner, Kent Abernathy.

The workshop featured invaluable insights from several guest speakers. Research Engineer Dan King from the National Concrete Pavement Technology Center presented on PCCP (Portland Cement Concrete Pavement) Overlays, sharing updates on the latest techniques and advancements. President Matt Fonte from Fonte & Company discussed the critical importance of smoothness in concrete pavements.
