This winter, our asphalt and concrete divisions were celebrated for their award-winning projects and achievements in 2024.  

ACPA Awards 

In December, Milestone team members traveled to Arizona to attended American Concrete Pavement Association’s (ACPA) National Excellence in Concrete Paving Awards Gala. For over 30 years, the awards program has recognized contractors, engineers and project owners responsible for the country’s most outstanding concrete pavement projects.  

We are proud to announce that two of our projects were honored at this event: 

Silver National Excellence in Concrete Paving Award:  

K4 Plant; Mitchell, Indiana  

Contractor: Milestone Contractors  

Owner: Heidelberg Materials  

Engineer: Salas O’Brien  

Gold National Excellence in Concrete Paving Award:   

Runway 5R-23L and Taxiway D – Package #2; Indianapolis, Indiana  

Contractor: Milestone Contractors  

Owner: Indianapolis Airport Authority  

Engineer: Circle City Aviation Partners JV (Kimley-Horn & Woolpert)  

Congratulations to our concrete division on this amazing honor and achievement! Thank you to all employees, suppliers and subcontractors for your teamwork and collaboration on these projects. Lastly, thank you to the American Concrete Pavement Association for recognizing the excellence our employees dedicate to these projects.

APAI Awards 

The Asphalt Pavement Association of Indiana (APAI) held their annual Winter Expo in Muncie, Indiana, in December. The Winter Expo is a time for the association to recognize the commitment to quality on INDOT, agency and private asphalt pavement projects around the state. Along with the Quality in Asphalt Pavement Awards, Safe Worker Awards, Scholarships and Unsung Hero Awards were given. Below are the awards Milestone received for 2024 from APAI: 

APAI Safe Worker Award Recipients
