Milestone team members accept an APAI Quality Asphalt Pavement award. This is one of several construction awards received at the event.

At the end of 2025, Milestone was honored with several construction industry awards. Together, we’d like to celebrate the accomplishments our teams have made and express our appreciation for your craftsmanship, excellence, and dedication to the work.

Project: I-69 Finish Line
Award: Asphalt Pavement Association of Indiana (APAI) Quality Asphalt Pavement (INDOT > 10,000 Tons)
Award: American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) Divided Highway (Urban) (Silver)

Our work on Contract 6.5 of the I-69 Finish Line project received two awards at the end of the year! This work represents the final link connecting Evansville to Indianapolis, including 45 new or replacement bridges, 8 miles of new lanes on I-465 and a new system-to-system interchange between I-465 and I-69. This project, involving two major interstates, complex traffic patterns and a tight schedule, demanded round-the-clock operations and precision. The finished product stands as a testament to the hard work and expertise of our crews.

Project: Indianapolis International Airport
Award: ACPA Commercial Service (Gold)
Award: ACPA Best in Show, Sustainability

The reconstruction of Runway 5R-23L and Taxiway D at Indianapolis International Airport was a massive undertaking – one that was recognized twice at the 2025 Annual ACPA Conference. Specialized crews replaced the existing runway with 22-inch-thick pavement, meeting precise FAA requirements while under a tight schedule. Sustainability was a major focus, recycling 135,000 tons of concrete, 65,000 tons of asphalt, and 4 million gallons of water, while injecting carbon into cement to reduce emissions. The reconstruction was completed successfully, earning accolades for teamwork, innovation and adherence to Milestone’s mantra of “making lives better.”

Project: US 20
Award: ACPA State Roads (Silver)

On US 20, our crews added travel lanes to over 4 miles of previously congested single-lane roadway. This safer, more durable highway will promote regional growth and improve conditions for the traveling public.

Also at the Annual ACPA Conference, General Superintendent Rob Kish received the ACPA’s inaugural Emerging Leader of the Year Award, which recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to ACPA, their employer and the concrete pavement field through exemplary leadership or technical expertise. Rob’s support of the ACPA’s Emerging Leaders Group (ELG) has helped foster a culture of mentorship and growth. His leadership, technical skills and commitment to fostering future talent exemplify the qualities that drive industry progress and ensure its continued success.

Emily Mick receives the Indy NAWIC Member of the Year Award in a fantastic hi-vis dress.

In September, Emily Mick received the Member of the Year Award from Indy NAWIC (National Association of Women In Construction), where she also serves as Parliamentarian. Emily is heavily involved in the construction community, promoting work zone awareness and opportunities for women and young people.

Milestone team members accept Indiana Parks and Recreation Association Corporate Partner of the Year Award on stage.

Milestone received the Indiana Parks and Recreation Association (IPRA) award for Corporate Partner of the Year in November. Bloomington Parks and Recreation nominated Milestone for our work developing and supporting the high-quality spaces and programs that bring Bloomington residents together. “Milestone not only builds accessible public spaces but helps sustain family-friendly programming and supports the work of local artists,” shared the Bloomington Parks and Recreation team. “Their leadership, responsiveness and generosity underscore the critical role corporate partners play in advancing the mission of parks and recreation.”

Thank you to our team members and partners – your hard work and dedication to excellence earns these awards!
