Republic Airways Plane Pull is an annual fundraiser with an epic tug-of-war with a 24-ton aircraft. Since 2011, this fundraiser has raised over $3.6 million for children’s hospitals and charities. Key charities for the event include Indiana Wish, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent, Riley Children’s Foundation and A Kid Again.
This event is not only for a great cause, but one of Milestone’s favorite team building events of the year so of course we returned for the 11th annual Plane Pull! We had 2 teams: Concrete Commanders and Top Gun. An honorable member of our Top Gun team was IU Basketball star, Damon Bailey. Geoff Dillion tossed down a challenge while talking high school/college basketball with Cathy Wethington last year and mentioned how cool it would be to get Damon on the team. Cathy said challenge accepted and with a few phone calls, Damon was more than happy to join us! We are looking forward to your challenge next year, Geoff!
Thank you to all who participated whether it was pulling the plane, setting up tables and giveaways, or putting together Legos for children. We appreciate you taking a Saturday to spend with us and to help partner in Republic Airways efforts.
