Project Overview:
Our crews are hard at work in the town of Montgomery, Indiana where they are demolishing and replacing Daviess County Indiana Bridge 155 located on 3rd street over CSX Railroad. Along with the bridge work, we will bring in new concrete and bituminous pavement road will be constructed along a portion 3rd St. on both sides of Bridge 155 and new bituminous pavement along a portion of Railroad St. west of CR 650 E. Curbs, sidewalks, and storm sewers will all be installed as well.
Current Operations:
In the month of September, Brent Foster’s crews have completed the mainline concrete pavement, concrete railing on bridge, sidewalk at all locations off the bridge, curb and gutter and driveways. We have finished the riprap at pipe outlets. All grading is completed and mulched seeding was placed on all exposed areas. Stone drivers alone Railroad St were poured, and a surface seal/anti-graffiti coating was placed on all concrete areas. Bituminous pavement was laid at the planned locations on Railroad St. and 3rd St, along with the alley south of the bridge. As we continue this job, we plan for pavement marking and guardrail to go up. All remaining work will be completed this month with a target final completion date of November 30th.
